Joye In Aiken: Paul Jacobs
March 9 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Aiken’s favorite organist brings the Festival to a thrilling finish, demonstrating once again why he is considered the world’s greatest living practitioner of the instrument, and why Juilliard selected him as the youngest-ever chair of the school’s Organ Department. Join us as the Festival week comes to an unforgettable conclusion.
American organist Paul Jacobs is known for his imaginative interpretations and charismatic stage presence and is the only organist ever to have won a GRAMMY Award-in 2011 for Messiaen’s Livre du Saint-Sacrement. Having performed to great critical acclaim on five continents and in each of the fifty United States, Mr. Jacobs regularly performs with world-class symphonies.
