SRS Museum Grand Reopening
October 30 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Please join us to celebrate the museum’s reopening after remodeling our space and installing the new permanent exhibit titled “6,000 Stories.” This new exhibit interprets the history of the residents within Aiken and Barnwell county communities that were displaced from their lands to make room for the construction of the Savannah River Plant in 1950.
The ribbon cutting will be held at 1 pm with a round table discussion with former residents of the displaced towns at 1:30 pm.
The museum will be open from 10 am to 5 pm that day. Admission is always free.
