This is going to be a “FUN” yet educational practice for CD and PD in a different format yet loosely following ADS rules.
Opening Date:  NOW
Closing Date: February 5,   Entry Form must have a post mark date –Space is limited to 25. Dressage Judge:   Nancy Tomlinson
Divisions:  Combined Driving( CD)—-Training and Preliminary.  Loosely following ADS Rules
Pleasure Driving (PD)—Training and Preliminary.  Loosely following ADS Rules. No Obstacles
Format: CD and PD: Every turnout will do dressage then as soon as you exit the ring with in approximately 2 minutes on a schedule time you continue on a Cross Country Trail to the end-about 3- 4K  .  On the trail you will be doing 4 ZONES consisting of cones, interesting elements with a trot distance between the zones. There will be a bridge. There will be 20 plus cones and elements that will be judge by observers placed in and about the  ZONES. If you get eliminated there will be no whistle –you just continue on to the end. Cones will be set at Standard settings.  CD drivers will be doing 3 obstacles included in the ZONE as per ADS rules and timed. PD drivers do not do the obstacles!!  CD and PD will be given allowed time to complete the Cross Country  Trail.  I will be providing you a minimum and maximum time for you to complete the Cross Country Trail according to your level and division with similar speeds. You will be given way points  with your times for you to check to see how you are motoring along.  This is a trot section.

Doctors notice
Twice around: – Drivers/navigators or any equipment sharing (ie. carriages) are allowed a maximum of 2 times on course not in same division as long as scheduling permits.  Competitors must say on their entry form what they are sharing and with whom they are sharing in order to be accommodated in the schedule.  There will be no changes after closing date.

COMBINED DRIVING DRESSAGE TEST FOR CD AND PD:
Training B;  Preliminary C
Dress code:  same as what you wear on the Cross Country Trail and you can pick up your navigator at the start of the Cross Country Trail.
Awards: The Results will be sent to you electronically and we will get prize to you somehow.  Awards per division 1st place winning an unusual prize.
Miscellaneous: The cross country Trail with zones can be inspected on your own with ATV, Golf Carts, bikes and foot– NO CARS/TRUCKS. The Cross Country Trail will be sent by up for inspection by February 18th noon. A map and schedule will be sent to you by February 13th.   VSE– no hyper-bikes! All, except Small Ponies and VSE, singles must have a groom on the carriage during the Cross Country Trail along with Helmet and vest which can be worn during dressage. They may ride in the dressage too if you want. There will be NO FOOD on the grounds. Dress- extremely casual but Helmets/vests required for cross country trail. Juniors must have an adult and wear Helmet and vest.

COVID-19:
REQUIREMENTS WHILE ON EVENT GROUNDS:
PHYSICAL DISTANCING: WHO: Everyone !!!     WHEN: At all times !!

EXCEPTIONS:
Only three exceptions –
Immediate Household Members Individuals in the same house or dwelling. Members of a household may or may not be related.

  1. Essential support personnel assisting an entry preparing to compete, during competition (including riding on the same vehicle) and immediately after competing.
  2. In cases of emergency.

MASKS/FACE COVERINGS: WHO: Everyone !!  WHEN: Whenever there is the possibility of being within 6 feet of others, including while on a vehicle with other people even if they are immediate household members.
EXCEPTIONS: Only one exception – a driver driving alone while competing or warming up. For these drivers, Masks/Face Covers are advised or at least to be within easy reach but are not required.
