The Aiken Golf Club is located in the center of Aiken, South Carolina. Moderate winter temperatures allow year-round play in what has become the hub of golf in the Southeastern United States.

The Aiken Golf Club is steeped in golf history. Originally built in 1912, with a portion of its design attributed to John Inglis, it is one of the oldest courses in the nation. Professional golfers Babe Didrikson Zaharis and Patty Berg among others, played here. Fred Astaire and other celebrities came to Aiken during the cold winter months to test their skills. May Dunn was instrumental in making it the first course in America to feature tees especially for women.

Completely renovated and reopened to considerable fanfare during 1999, the course has never looked or played better. We invite you to come see for yourself. It will test your skill while reminding you of golf venues of old. Come be a part of golf history.

18 holes, par 72, walk/cart.
Designed by Arthur Hills

Gently rolling sand hills and pine forests provided the perfect canvas for renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills. Cedar Creek Golf Club has a “distinctively wooded feel” as it wanders throughout the topography of the region. The semi-private 18-hole championship course has 5 tee boxes per hole. The course length varies from a challenging 7,206 yards for the serious player, to 5,182 yards for casual play. The Bermuda 419 fairways and Bermuda TifDwarf greens are consistently maintained in excellent condition, and the course is over-seeded for optimal winter and early spring play.

Lessons are taught on the practice facility, widely acknowledged as one of the best in the area. The Player’s Golf School is under construction beginning Summer 2014. State of the art equipment to be used outdoors and indoors for year-round convenience.

The Pro Shop offers the latest clubs and balls, clothing, and golf accessories. Club 2475 Grille is waiting to serve you a quick bite at the turn, your favorite beverage, and a complete meal following your round. A private dining room is available for meetings, showers, parties and small outings.

Houndslake Country Club centers around an 18-hole Championship golf course designed in 1974 by Joe Lee, who planned the likes of Doral, La Costa and Disney World.

The two nines provide pleasure to the average golfer and a memorable challenge to the champion. Each nine measures a little over 3,300 yards and they each play to a par of 36. Houndslake Country Club was designed to offer versatility for both the weekend golfer and the professional. The Dogwood nine has played host to the 1977 and 1981 South Carolina Golf Association Amateur Championship, the 1982 and 1984 South Carolina Golf Association Four Ball Championship, the 2001 and 2002 South Carolina PGA Pro Junior, several United States Amateur Qualifiers, The Women’s Transnational Amateur, Joe Wyatt High School Junior Invitational, and is the home of the Women’s Eastern Golf Association Senior Championship.
