A 16 ' id cement block building with a 12 ' fully rotating aluminum dome, houses a 17.5 " Newtonian telescope with support electronics. The observatory accommodates groups of twelve. Friday programs designed to expose area residents to basic science and astronomy are provided, at no charge, on a regular basis. Although programs are available for adults, emphasis is placed on a younger audience. Elementary school groups, third grade and above, enjoy views of the planets and bright stars. Activities…
