The Joy in the Journey program at Aiken Center for the Arts (ACA) serves community members and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. This program connects these individuals with a mneme therapist (pronounced NEMMA) who works with them to create original works of art. This exhibition displays art created through Joy in the Journey sessions conducted in nursing facilities throughout Aiken. Proceeds from the sale of these works directly supports the continuation of Joy in the Journey.
